Beefsteak Tomato ‘Marmande VR’ – Large Meaty Tomatoes

Beefsteak Tomato ‘Marmande VR’ (Solanum lycopersicum) is a traditional and popular tomato variety that produces large, meaty and very flavourful fruits. This variety is known for its rich tomato taste and good harvest potential.

‘Marmande VR’ grows best in a warm location and is suitable for greenhouses, pots or sunny and sheltered garden spots. The large fruits are excellent for salads, cooking and fresh use.

Sow the seeds indoors in early spring in a protected seed tray at around 20 °C. Prick out the seedlings once and move them later into pots or a greenhouse for growing on. Remove side shoots regularly to help the plant produce a generous and high-quality harvest.
