Sunflower ‘Giganteus’ – Giant Garden Sunflower

Sunflower ‘Giganteus’ (Helianthus annuus) is a striking and classic single-stem sunflower variety that can grow several metres tall. It is an excellent choice as an eye-catching garden feature or as a sunny background plant for borders and fences.

Sow the seeds in a protected place from late March to mid-April, or directly outdoors from mid-April to mid-June. The seedlings can be moved outdoors after about 5–6 weeks. Seeds from dried flower heads can be collected for winter bird feeding or for the next growing season.
